Reviewing 456 Shanghai Cuisine

Slide Show

The restaurant under the critical spotlight this week is 456 Shanghai Cuisine on Mott Street. It is across the street from Amazing 66, and practically next door to Big Wong. It serves terrific soup dumplings, among other treats of the eastern coast of China. Some number of readers and eaters will love the place, just as surely as others will cry foul and declare their allegiance to some other worthy establishment and its unimpeachable food. Such is the nature of Chinatown, Jake, and of the appreciation of soup dumplings in particular.

What is your favorite Chinatown restaurant, new or old, in this city or your own, and why? Tell us about your favorite dishes, and about your favorite meals, your family traditions and those of the restaurants where you celebrate them. Keep it civil and polite, as of course you can. There are elders present, and children, too.
