Last Weekend for Mini Mangoes

Dan Neville/The New York Times

Mini mangoes from Mexico have been at produce markets in Chinatown, but this is your last chance to buy them because the season will end by this weekend. No new supplies are being shipped in.

They look exactly like champagne mangoes and have a very small, thin pit and deliciously sweet, silky flesh. Pack some, chilled first, for that Fourth of July picnic. You’ll find them on Grand Street near the Bowery, on Mott Street and Canal Street, $3.50 a pound ripe, $2 a pound if they are over the hill.
